How Boanerges Holdings collects, uses, and protects information on the Intellio platform.
Intellio is operated by Boanerges Holdings, registered in Mozambique (“we”, “us”, “our”). Intellio is a school management platform. If your school uses Intellio, your school has engaged us to process certain information on its behalf so the app can work — timetables, grades, messaging, attendance, and similar school-management functions.
Who controls your data: for information your school manages through Intellio (student records, grades, attendance, conduct records, messages sent through the app, and similar school-generated content), your school is the data controller and Boanerges Holdings acts as a data processor on the school’s behalf. Requests about that data — corrections, access, or how long it’s kept — should generally go through your school first.
Identity and contact information — your name, email address, role at the school, and profile photo. For students, this includes the parent-student relationship your school has recorded.
Account security information — your password (stored encrypted/hashed, never in plain text), and device-level security signals used to confirm the app installation is genuine (Apple App Attest on iOS, Google Play Integrity on Android). These do not identify you personally — they verify the app itself hasn’t been tampered with.
Communications — messages, photos, videos, voice messages, and documents you send through the app’s chat and yard (social feed) features, plus related metadata such as call participants and duration. Call audio/video is relayed live and is not recorded or stored by us.
Academic and school-management records — grades, report cards, attendance, timetables, merit/demerit records, conduct notes, and similar records your school manages through the app.
Location (limited) — teachers and admins may optionally share a one-time, approximate location to show local weather on their dashboard. Not stored on our servers or linked to your account.
Device and diagnostic information — crash reports and technical error logs used to fix bugs, and a push-notification token used to deliver notifications to your device.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your information for advertising, and we run no advertising in the app.
We share information with the following categories of service providers, only as needed to run the app:
| Who | What They Receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Core account and app data | Database, authentication, file storage |
| Agora | Live audio/video during calls | Voice and video calling |
| Google (Gemini) | Questions asked of the in-app AI assistant (“Larry”) | AI responses |
| Mistral AI | Questions asked of the in-app AI assistant | AI responses (backup) |
| DeepL | Message text, only when translate is used | Chat translation |
| Sentry | Technical crash/error reports | Bug diagnosis |
| Expo | Push notification token and content | Push delivery |
| Cloudflare | Browser/device signal, web login only | Login attack prevention |
| Apple / Google | Device attestation signals | App tamper detection |
| open-meteo.com | Approximate location, weather widget only | Weather lookup |
We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Your information is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We enforce access controls so each parent, student, teacher, and administrator can only reach records their role and school entitle them to — one school’s data is isolated from every other school on the platform. Files such as report cards and shared media are stored privately and served only through expiring, authenticated links. The database is backed up automatically every day.
Data is hosted with Supabase, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the EU (Dublin).
Because schools rely on being able to access historical academic records — report cards, attendance, conduct history — at any time, we retain school-managed records indefinitely, for as long as your school continues to use Intellio, unless your school instructs us otherwise. This reflects that the school, not Boanerges Holdings, owns and controls this data.
If you ask to delete your personal account (see Clause 8), we deactivate your login and remove your personally identifying details. Content you created that is part of the school’s records remains part of the school’s records, since it belongs to the school, not to you individually.
You can request deletion of your Intellio account from within the app (Settings → Delete My Account). This sends a request to your school’s administrator for approval — or, if you are a school administrator yourself, to Boanerges Holdings, since no one else at your school can approve that on your behalf.
Once approved: your login is disabled and you can no longer sign in; your name, email address, and profile photo are removed; content forming part of the school’s records is not deleted, for the reasons explained in Clause 7.
Intellio is used by students of all ages, including children under 13, but always through a school-issued account, not direct signup by the child. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children outside of this school-mediated process. If you believe a child has provided us information outside the process described above, contact support@intelliohub.com.
Depending on where you or your school are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or ask questions about your information. Because school-managed records are controlled by your school, please start with your school for questions about academic or school-management records. For questions about your account security information or how the app itself works, contact us directly.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date above when we do.
